CE Mark

As of 1 January 2011 a new European standard (EN 15102:2007) is mandatory in the European Union and applies to all forms of wallcovering. The CE standard arose from a need for assurance that products bought are safe, both for humans and the environment. With the CE mark manufacturers demonstrate that their products meet the legal performance requirements.

Following tests are detailed under the standard:

• Reaction to fire.
• Determination of the release of dangerous substances, i.e. formaldehyde, heavy metals and vinyl chloride.
• Sound absorption performance.
• Thermal resistance performance.
